Here are some common questions about Vector:

FAQ

Should I Still Schedule An Interview If I Am Unsure This Is The Right Fit?

Of course. It never hurts to learn more and get professional interview experience.

You never know until you find out. This may be exactly what you are looking for and the opportunity may change your life. By going through an informational interview, you can at least make an educated decision for yourself. So many people have found even just checking out the position in more detail quite beneficial. Even if they decided not to continue, at least they got a complete look into the position.

Please note: Just because you come in for an interview does not mean you have to accept the offer if you were offered a spot on the team, the interview is non-committal.

How Does Training Work?

Vector offers a one-time, three day comprehensive professional training. We’ll teach you everything that you’ll need to be successful not only at Vector, but also general soft skills needed for any professional career. From learning the Cutco demonstration to learning time-management, interpersonal communication skills, and so much more, you’ll feel ready to begin working at the end of your training.

Why Does Vector Work With So Many Students?

Due to the very low-key and non-pushy environment plus no requirement of previous experience, it’s not difficult to succeed at the job. So while we don’t exclusively work with students, students are often the most interested in our position. In addition, we offer extremely flexible schedules. This works best with students because many are taking classes full-time, athletes, and/or actively involved in school activities that make it difficult to work a “normal job”. We work with representatives to help create custom schedules they can feel comfortable with. To assist our student program and peak interest, we have a scholarship program where we award over $40,000 in scholarships.

Is There A Start-Up Cost?

Of course not! We do presentations through a pre-made powerpoint with a few customer testimonials and video product demos. Reps are given this program at no cost to them..

Reps never have to pay anything to start working with us. If a representatives decides they are no longer interested in working, they simply notify us of their wish to resign.

If a representative only wants to work certain times of the year ( holidays , summer/ winter breaks) , the just communicate with the manager and when they are ready to return, they check back in with the manager.

From time to time, we do have contests where reps can win a ton of free products which are obviously theirs to keep.

Do I Need Sales Experience?

You DON’T need any sales experience to begin working at Vector. We train our representatives in house and as long as someone follows our program, we can help them succeed! What we look for in an applicant is someone who is positive and coachable.

How Does the Interview Work?

Virtual: We use an Apex system for our interviews which gives representatives the opportunity to interview virtually from the convenience of their home. During their interview, the interviewing manager will go over the position in FULL detail, ask a few questions, answer any questions the applicant may still have, review their employment history and make a final decision.

How Does Pay Work?

Every Representative earns a minimum of $25 per appointment with opportunities for advancement based on performance. The average appointment lasts approximately one hour. Whether or not a representative makes a sale, they are guaranteed $25 per appointment. ( i.e. If a representative makes sales, and 10% of their weekly sales exceed the pay of $25 per appointment, the representative is paid commission instead. )
